This is a motion test I did with Allan prowling like a tiger. Allan also educated me on the best lighting to use. In Final Cut i used the double image effects again as well as speed reversal and slow motion. This test was import for trailing the style of pace i want for my film. however i don't feel this was a very successful test because there wasn't enough variety in movement for me to properly judge if it is style i am after but it was helpful for me getting some technical things sorted.

mirror effect

These are some Screen tests i did to practice the mirror effect for my film I want to make. To achieve synchronicity in the film and create two identical characters i want to use the mirror effect. i feel it will add to the surreal aesthetic i want to create. Ted helped me explore different options of the mirror effect using Final Cut, showing me diferent ways about going about it to achieve the right aesthetic.

beee hive!

some samples of hair doos that im thinking of for my cosmetic counter ladies in my film.

these are the styles I'm looking at but I'm thinking bright unnatural colours ultra violets
or greens.

I'm very inspired by cremaster
films directed by Matthew Barney. He has described the Cremaster cycle (1994–2002) as "a self-enclosed aesthetic system consisting of five films that explore processes of creation." The cycle includes the films as well as photographs, drawings, sculptures, and installations the artist produced in conjunction with each episode. The title of the films refers to the muscle that raises and lowers the male reproductive system according to temperature, external stimulation, or fear. The films themselves are a grand mixture of history, autobiography, and mythology, an intensely private universe in which symbols and images are densely layered and interconnected. The resulting cosmology is both beautiful and complex.

the aesthetics are very inspiring.
